Edgar R. Eisenhauer

Edgar R. Eisenhauer, 82, of DuQuoin, passed away at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2000 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
Edgar was of the Baptist faith.  He was a retired CV Helper at Phelps Dodge Cable Co.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II, serving as a medic.
He was born January 22, 1918 at Pinckneyville, the son of Ed and Lena (Hanke) Eisenhauer.  He married Mildred L. Ridgeway on May 15, 1940 at Perryville, MO and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1994.
He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Barnett of Belton, MO and Linda Weiser of Streamwood, IL; three sons, Edgar R. Eisenhauer Jr. and Chester Eisenhauer, both of DuQuoin and Robert Eisnehauer of Jonesboro; one brother, Bill Eisenhauer of Vergennes; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Leroy Eisenhauer.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 22 at 10:30 a.m.. at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.
Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
Interment was in the Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
